KitchenAid states that the oven has not reached self-clean temperature after thirty minutes, and adds that there may be a problem with the door hinges or door gasket. Those two are named because a self-clean cycle depends on the cavity sealing: a door sitting off its gasket, or hinges that no longer pull it square, lets heat out faster than the elements can put it in, and the cavity never gets where it needs to be.

Do not attempt to bend hinges or repack a gasket.
