No other specification for it survives in the sources used here. KitchenAid’s US product site shows it in March 2000, and no later capture carries it.
The KECC501GAL is a colour or finish variant, printed verbatim on KitchenAid’s archived product page for the KECC501G. An owner whose plate reads KECC501G, or one of its other finishes, is looking at the same machine in a different colour. A KECC501GAL still in a kitchen today has twenty-odd years behind it, and that age shows first in the switches, the element or burner connections and the control knobs. Discontinued does not mean unrepairable, but it does mean availability of the specific part for a KECC501GAL is established before any figure is put on the job.
