What its page carries is a heading telling the owner to "Verify meat probe is securely inserted in the meat probe receptacle," a diagram of a typical probe and jack, and the caption "Location may vary." - The high-voltage capacitor inside a microwave can hold a lethal charge after the unit is unplugged and the display is dead, so the inside of the cabinet is not an owner check at any point in this process, whatever the code turns out to mean.
- A probe jack sits in the cavity wall with its wiring on the other side, so a contact that needs attention is on the far side of a panel that should not be opened by an owner.
