Nothing in this code says the cavity was too hot. It says the control could not get a reading it believed, which is a different thing and is why the published text lists the sensor, the control and the wiring as equal candidates.
Common Causes of 3d12
- A temperature probe that has drifted out of range or failed open
- Sensor wiring damaged, disconnected or reading through a corroded pin
- A control no longer interpreting the sensor signal correctly
