What Control Light Flashing Means

Common Causes of Control Light Flashing
- Control lock switched on, deliberately or by a long press someone did not notice
- The machine in sleep mode so the panel is not responding yet
- A key pressed while the lock was engaged, which is precisely what the three flashes report
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Find the button marked Control Lock - it is often a secondary label under another key - and hold it for three seconds. If the panel still ignores you, wake the machine first: press Start/Resume or Cancel, or simply open and close the door, then try the hold again. If the flashing continues with the lock off and the machine awake, the page's last resort is the thirty-second power interruption, and only after that does anything else come into it.

- There is no fault here to repair, and treating a working child lock as a breakdown is how a perfectly healthy machine ends up with a service visit booked against it.
- If the panel stays locked with the lock cleared and the machine awake, the console is misreporting, and that is inside the door beside the latch wiring.
- Pressing harder and repeatedly on a locked panel is how a touch membrane gets cracked, and a cracked panel is a real fault rather than a setting.
